Josh Holmes, a Minnetonka, MN native, began his professional journey as a staffer on Senator Norm Coleman's 2002 campaign. After victory in November, Holmes served as a legislative aide in Sen. Coleman’s Capitol Hill office through 2004. He joined the staff of Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell in 2007, served as the "mastermind" of Team Mitch and ascended to Chief of Staff in 2010. After a cycle as a National Republican Senatorial Committee Senior Strategist, he co-founded Cavalry LLC, the strategic political and public affairs advisory firm. In October, 2020, he launched "RUTHLESS", a podcast, with Shashank Tripathi (aka @comfortablysmug).
In 2014, Sen. Coleman told CQ Roll Call: “He’s the guy you’d want your daughter to marry. In a business in which there are a lot of folks with sharp elbows and short tempers and tough personas, but Josh is fundamentally one of the nicest people that you’d ever want to meet."
